About the project

The School Beyond the Village is a social architecture project, born from the desire to offer rural children an inclusive, safe, and friendly space dedicated to learning, acquiring crafts and trades, and personal development.

Located in a village near the city of Iași, this school with soul is a place dedicated to the local community, with limited financial means. The project aims to support the continuation of education and reduce school dropout, through a space that inspires trust, belonging, and collaboration.

The composition of "attached houses" is a visual metaphor that evokes the image of the traditional village, allowing for harmonious integration into the context, but also creating a familiar, warm atmosphere in which children can feel "at home." Built with the help of local craftsmen and workers, it contributes to supporting the community and strengthening the ties between the space and its inhabitants.

The School Beyond the Village is an open and collaborative space that teaches and unites, where children from the village can meet those from the city, exchanging experiences and perspectives.
